About the Author

My father was born in Ukraine, and neither he nor his Russian friends would ever talk about Russia. I grew up in Dallas, during the heart of the cold war with Russia. In grade school, we would be taken into the hall and told to sit with our heads down between our knees to practice protecting ourselves from an atomic bomb attack. I was in law school, in 1961, when President Kennedy ordered the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba. Cuba had nuclear-armed Russian rockets that could reach Washington, New York, and the east coast within minutes. When the Bay of Pigs invasion failed, many feared an imminent Russian attack on the United States. During the cold war, Russia was largely closed to the West. When the Soviet Union finally collapsed, in 1992, we began to see and understand what had been “a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma”, as Winston Churchill said. Paris Nights Escape From Moscow is as timely today as it was during the cold war. It is inspired by true events.

Paris Nights - Escape from Moscow

An epic love story with unyielding suspense!

“Paris Nights – Escape from Moscow” is an epic tale of passionate love and suspense. Trapped between opposing factions of the Communist Party and hounded by the KGB, Vitali Solznetzn knows that in Russia he cannot afford to make a mistake. His life depends on it. One false step can mean prison in Siberia or the firing squad.

“A love story with heart-pounding suspense.
The chemistry between the two lovers is electric! Their story stayed with me long after I finished reading the book,” says Brad Thor, author of “Spymaster” and the “Lions of Lucerne”.

“The suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. The novel transcends time and space…a feast for the mind and soul…making it an indispensable addition to the bookshelves of avid readers.” says Anthony Doerr, Pulitzer Prize winner and author of “All the Light We Cannot See.”
